Jaer Medina (b. 2001) is a Chicano artist and educator based in Holland, Michigan. His practice is centered around challenging urban normative sentiments by platforming Midwestern creativity. He aims to place provincial art on equal footing with critical contemporary art from global centers. Currently, he is exploring this through the investigation of Midwestern Mexican-American productions of space.

Jaer works across photography, collage, sculpture, and space-making. Additionally, he runs a community-based art space called CREA, which serves as an incubator for both emerging and established artists to curate exhibitions, lead workshops, host lectures, or simply hang out.
